Procedure to make a Selection
Before selecting a candidate for an overseas job we are following some basic procedures.
Overview: Candidates have to go through several layers of personal and technical screening before getting short-listed. For short listed candidates video conferencing is arranged in case of companies in Malaysia who are not able to conduct the final selection interviews in India.
Identification: On receiving client requirements we shortlist suitable candidates from our databank. We have a ready databank for all job categories. We also carry out special recruitment efforts for specific needs. Sometimes an event like a walk-in interviews are also organized.
Communication Skill : Candidates are first interviewed on phone or in person for minimum Communication capability. If the candidate is found okay in communication only then is he invited with the latest copy of his resume, supporting documents, passport and two passport size color photographs.
Preliminary Evaluation: We have detailed guidelines for the preliminary evaluation stages. Here the candidate is evaluated using various customized tests that tell us more about the written, verbal communication skills, personality, IQ, EQ, technical and other important aspects about the candidate. The main aim is to verify the suitability of the candidate for the on-site assignments at hand. The candidate has to appear in person.
Technical Evaluation: If candidate clears the preliminary evaluation stage and everything matches with the company’s requirement only then is the candidate short-listed for Technical Evaluation. Technical evaluation too is another systematic and detailed process.
Rating: There is a formal evaluation procedure for each of these above mentioned steps. Total evaluation is of 100 marks. Minimum qualification criterion is to obtain 60% Technical interview and Technical communication is must to pass.. We maintain candidate scorecard that quantifies the results of evaluation at each stage.
Medical Check-Up: Candidates have to go through Medical Examination after final selection. This is aimed at selecting competent, disciplined and healthy manpower desired by an employer. Medical check-up is the very first step for the procedure to recruit the selected candidates. We recommend the selected candidates for medical examinations in the government-approved hospitals or labs. Only medically fit candidates are eligible to sign an agreement or contract paper as per their Medical Fit reports. The candidates holding Medical Unfit reports are disqualified for the foreign employment.
Final Approval: The candidates found suitable for on-site assignments are short-listed. In usual cases Malaysia representative comes to India to have a final interview with the short listed candidates and makes the final offer.
Security: TO safe guard the interest of the employer, we arrange from the candidates security in the form of one or more of the following: original certificates, passport, bank guarantee written legal agreement as mutually agreed between us and the employer.
Immigration logistics: After candidate accepts an offer, We assist candidates and companies exchanging documents for the approval processing and to take care of other logistics involved in relocating the candidate abroad. Before the candidate finally leaves the country we hand over a specially designed basic language and orientation program to guide the new immigrants. This also helps them to adjust faster to a country with different history and culture.
